Jackson Koivun Wins the 2025-2026 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel
Recognizing the Most Outstanding Male NCAA Division I College Golfer, Koivun becomes the Fourth Player in history to Claim the Premier Men's Collegiate Honor multiple times.
Carlsbad, CA, June 2nd, 2026 – Auburn University junior Jackson Koivun was announced Tuesday as the winner of the coveted Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel, recognizing the most outstanding male NCAA Division I college golfer for the 2025-26 season.
The announcement was made by John Shinkle, Senior Vice President of Stifel Financial, on Golf Channel’s Live Coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s National Championship.
Jackson Koivun turned in one of the most dominant individual seasons in the history of college golf, posting six victories and a 66.6 scoring average — while winning six of his last ten starts. His crowning achievement of the 2025-2026 season was capturing his third consecutive SEC Individual Championship, finishing at 19-under-par in the 2026 championship, his most commanding performance of the three. Along the way, he was named SEC Player of the Year for the third straight season and entered the NCAA Championship ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking with 11 career collegiate wins to his name, a program record at Auburn.
Jackson Koivun joins Ben Crenshaw (’71,’72,’73), Bobby Clampett (’79,’80), and Phil Mickelson (’90,’91,’92) to become only the fourth multiple-time winner in the 55-year history of the award — a feat that had not been accomplished in 34 years. Koivun first captured the Fred Haskins Award as a freshman in 2024.

About Fred Haskins and the Haskins Foundation
From the seaside town of Liverpool to a quaint Donald Ross course in Georgia, Fred Haskins built a reputation for mentoring young golfers. Haskins was head professional at the Country Club of Columbus for 34 years, recommended for the position by the legendary Bobby Jones. His proteges learned the game in Saturday morning classes that cost a nickel. They went on to win more than 150 collegiate and amateur tournaments. Since its formation in 1971, the Haskins Foundation has been devoted to amateur golf and the presentation of the Haskins Award. This coveted trophy honors the year’s outstanding college golfer and the memory of Fred Haskins, a club professional that spent his life nurturing and mentoring amateur golfers. The foundation, based in Columbus, Ga., oversees the voting for the Haskins and ANNIKA Awards conducted among college golfers, coaches, past winners, and college golf media.
