Mirabel Ting

2025 - Florida State

FSU Junior and one of the world’s top-ranked female amateur golfers, Mirabel Ting, was announced as the winner of the coveted ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel today, recognizing the most outstanding female NCAA Division I college golfer for the 2024-25 season. The announcement was made today by Vice President of the Haskins Foundation, John Shinkle and Steve Burkowski, Golf Channel Host.

Ting, the top-ranked player in Clippd rankings and NCAA rankings, and number two in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, earned her name on the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel with her outstanding third year at Florida State University. Starting off her fall season with three straight wins and then adding two more wins in the spring season, Ting is the only player in the country to have five total wins during the 2024-2025 season. With a scoring average of 67.1 and finishing even par or better in 24 of her 25 rounds this season, she was named the 2025 ACC Golfer of the Year. Ting’s drive and resilience lead to one of the most successful seasons in women’s college golf earning her name on the 2025 ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel. This makes her the first Malaysian player and the first from Florida State University named to the Award.

As a result of winning the 2025 ANNIKA Award Presented by Stifel, Ting receives an exemption to compete in the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship, one of the LPGA Tour’s five major championships. She will also receive two points for the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway, which provides the top amateur female golfers a path to LPGA Tour Membership.

“I was actually shocked.” said Ting when receiving the award. “Everyone’s doing so well, and… the other nine players have been playing well all season.”

A year ago, Ting was a great player, but now she is the best in the world. She answers what changed in that year, “Every day in and out, every week, we just practice really hard and Amy pushes me on the golf course. Everything has just worked out and obviously having a new coach and a different coach for me has worked out the way it should be, so I’m quite happy.” Finishing out her third year, it is clear that her hard work has paid off at the right school.

“What an incredible season you have had. That’s thanks to hard work, dedication, and commitment, and your performance on the golf course has been amazing.” said Annika Sorenstam when congratulating Mirabel on becoming the 2025 ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel winner. “I find it really cool that you’ve been recognized by your peers and the media for all the success you’ve had.” she continued.

Ting not only wanted to be successful during her college career, but she hopes to be as successful on the LPGA Tour one day as well. She said, “Everyone on this trophy (ANNIKA Award), they’re all pretty successful on the LPGA Tour, and I’m just hoping to be like that as well one day.”

Coming off a second place finish at the NCAA Lexington Regional, Ting opened her first round of the 2025 NCAA National Championship with a two-under 70. Ting continued to shoot under-par for each of the next three rounds. She ultimately finished the stroke play portion of the tournament in solo second at ten-under par leading her team to the first round of match play.
